About the role

  • Want to work in a fast paced environment situated in the heart of the U of A campus and provide our guests with an exceptional experience?
  • Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the bar and debit floats.
  • Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of each shift, and upon closing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to and under the general supervision of the Senior Operations Manager and Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, cleanliness and order in the bar.

Requirements

  • Good physical condition and the ability to handle full beer kegs.
  • Must have ProServe certification.
  • Other job-related duties as required.

  • Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
  • Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in accordance with Students' Union policies.
