About the role

Responsibilities
- The assistant coach is responsible for helping to develop a Division I Intercollegiate Lacrosse program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college is required along with some prior coaching experience.
- Applicants must have the ability to evaluate, recruit, teach, motivate, and mentor quality student-athletes.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and be able to work effectively with staff, faculty, and other members of the university community.
- The successful candidate must be able to articulate the values of a Mercer education and the role intercollegiate athletics plays in the development of student-athletes.
- Strong leadership qualities and an enthusiastic personality are essential.
Nice to have
- Division I coaching experience preferred.
Skills
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules in relation to women's lacrosse
- NCAA Recruiting test which allows coach to recruit off campus
- Knowledge to identify prospective student athletes who can be successful in a rigorous academic and athletic environment
- Proven ability to communicate with college and high school students
- Assist with daily office operations
- Assist with team equipment and team travel
