- Job duties specific to this position:
- Coordinate and oversee the administration of accommodated tests, including arranging for extended time, separate testing locations, and other necessary accommodations.
- Create and manage detailed test schedules, ensuring all students receive their accommodations and tests are administered on time.
- Serve as a proctor for exams, maintaining a secure and quiet testing environment, and addressing any issues that arise during testing.
- Liaise with faculty to obtain test materials, clarify testing instructions, and ensure understanding of specific accommodation requirements.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with FERPA, ADA, and other relevant regulations, maintaining strict confidentiality of student information.
- Maintain accurate records of testing accommodations provided, test schedules, and any incidents that occur during testing.
- Collect and analyze data related to test administration and student performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure the effectiveness of accommodations.
- Assist in training undergraduate proctors and other staff on testing procedures and the importance of maintaining test security and confidentiality.
- Ensure all testing equipment, such as computers and assistive technology, is functioning properly and is available when needed.
- Provide guidance and support to students with disabilities, helping them understand their accommodations and how to utilize them effectively during tests.
- Assist in developing and updating policies and procedures related to accommodated testing to enhance service delivery and compliance.
- Prepare regular reports on testing activities, including the number of tests administered, types of accommodations provided, and any issues encountered, for review by Disability Services leadership
