About the role

Giving vehicles may include gifts of securities, Donor Advised Funds, and other forms of donations used by individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Works collaboratively on the creation of tailored proposals, impact reports and stewardship communications aligned with donor interests and Rise priorities.

Develops and executes individualized cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for donors giving personally, and via family or corporate foundations with gifts ranging on average at the $10,000 to $100,000 level.
Applies a disciplined moves management approach to support donor growth, multi-year commitments and increased levels of giving over time.
Acts as a key point of contact for assigned community and emerging major gift donor audiences, providing guidance, resources and stewardship support.
Works collaboratively with the Fund Development Manager and Fund Development and Communications Coordinator to support donors who engage through various giving pathways.
Collaborates with the Fund Development and Communications Coordinator on mid and major giving strategies.
Supports the planning and delivery of engagement opportunities and events.
Through relationship-based fundraising, the Development Officer, Major Gifts cultivates, solicits and stewards donors across multiple giving pathways, applying moves management principles to support donor growth, multi-year commitments and long-term philanthropic investment.
This role is well suited to a fundraiser who thrives at the intersection of engagement and strategy, enjoys working with donors at all stages of their philanthropic journey, and is motivated by building strong foundations for future major and legacy giving relationships.

Strong computer skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a dynamic environment.
Monitors progress against goals, identifies challenges and manages up as required.

$70,000- $75,000
Manages a portfolio of current and prospective donors, and emerging philanthropists, working with the Fund Development Manager to set strategies and tactics to achieve an annual revenue target ranging from $545,000 - $742,500
Develops and executes individualized cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for donors giving personally, and via family or corporate foundations with gifts ranging on average at the $10,000 to $100,000 level.
