Responsibilities

  • The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.

Requirements

  • They must have thorough knowledge of production techniques and the ability to produce quality-building parts.
  • Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
  • Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
  • Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift
  • Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice to have

  • Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.
  • Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
  • Operate various CNC-controlled machines, such as presses, lasers, and rolling mills in a fast-paced production setting, with an emphasis on safety and quality
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
  • Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts.
  • Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select the correct raw material or semi-finished parts.

Compensation

  • $19.25 per hour + $2.00 shift differential
