About the role

Responsibilities
- Maintain client relationships and provide ongoing communication, insights, and updates.
- Document scenes through photography, measurements, and detailed observations.
- Collaborate with claims adjusters, examiners, appraisers, and managers to provide updates and recommendations.
- Perform quality control on reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and proper formatting.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of investigative experience in regulatory, workplace, insurance claims, and theft investigations.
- Experience in law enforcement is an asset.
- Knowledge of all levels of the Canadian court system, criminal and civil code in Canada, insurance law, privacy legislation, and evidence collection.
- A strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially with Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult conversations and confrontational situations with professionalism, tact, and sound judgment.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures in the conduct of investigations.
- An ability to work under pressure to meet demanding timelines while maintaining focus on the task at hand.
- Attend court or legal proceedings as required.
- Candidates must reside in Alberta and be available to travel throughout the province as required to support investigative assignments.
