About the role
- Cypress Creek Energy is seeking a highly motivated candidate with utility solar experience to oversee and assist in the daily operation of a rapidly growing portfolio of utility scale PV plants.
- The Quality Control Engineer acts as the main technical point of contact for the Quality Control teams and will assist in troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Additionally, The Quality Control Engineer will facilitate effective stakeholder engagement and serve as a vital link between the field teams and QC Manager, providing insights into various aspects of quality deficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Help perform root cause analysis for major system faults and failures.
- We develop, finance, own and operate utility-scale and distributed solar and storage projects across the country.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Utility Scale Solar Construction.
- Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS, and communication equipment.
- Experience in aspects of electrical maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring.
- Ability to read and understand electrical single-line, three-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, DAS drawings and Structural drawings.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, installation practices relevant to standards.
- Experience with Electrical, Structural, and Civil practices in Solar Construction.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite.
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent hands-on experience in solar QC or construction inspection will be considered in lieu of a technical degree.
