About the role
- We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect with strong Healthcare domain expertise and deep knowledge of Data Engineering, Azure cloud technologies, and Data Quality (DQ) frameworks.
- This role requires strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, SQL, stakeholder management, and healthcare data ecosystems including regulatory and compliance considerations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Build batch and real-time data processing solutions using Azure Databricks.
- Optimize performance and scalability of Azure data platforms.
- Implement Lakehouse/Data Lake architectures using Azure services.
- Define and implement enterprise Data Quality (DQ) frameworks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on Data Engineering and Cloud Architecture.
- 5+ years of hands-on Azure Data Platform experience.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
- Experience with cloud governance and security frameworks.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
- Strong experience in Healthcare domain implementations.
- Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Databricks Certified Professional
- Healthcare or Data Governance certifications preferred
- Preferred Experience
- Experience working with healthcare providers, payers, or life sciences organizations.
- Exposure to AI/ML healthcare data platforms.

- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Azure SQL Database
- Microsoft Purview / Azure Purview
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python/PySpark.

Compensation
- The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
- At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
- A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $150,000 - $170,000.
