About the role
- The Steward is responsible for cleaning and storing all flatware, silver, glass, kitchen trays, pots, pans according to the direction of the restaurant management team.
- The Steward also assists in food preparation as requested.
- This position reports to the Executive Steward.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, participate in pre and post shift cleaning and organization to include, but not limited to: kitchen equipment, walk-in fridge/freezer storage, dry storage, trash, recycle, mopping, sweeping
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean, orderly condition

Requirements
- Great Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Familiarity with company rules, regulations, and operational standards
- Ability to do basic problem-solving
- Ability to identify straightforward issues and propose simple solutions

Nice to have
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
- ServSafe or similar food safety course certification is preferred
