About the role

  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student-centered, and forward-thinking Temporary Admissions Counselor to provide visionary leadership.
  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus is hiring an admissions counselor (temporary role).
  • This position is located at our headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as a team member and supports our team environment.
  • This individual will work with the Senior Admissions Counselors and team of admissions counselors to support application processing.
  • They will be responsible for updating our student information system with relevant data that allows the documents to be processed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 years of work related experience
  • Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
  • may also include analyzing applications for accuracy, determining documentation required for admission and evaluation purposes, the ability to read and interpret a wide variety of transcripts and military documentation.
  • The admissions counselor may also be required to communicate with applicants via email, phone and SMS/text message.
  • In this role, the admissions counselor must be quick to learn new systems, to include our Campus Solutions student information system, Imaging System, CRM System, and be proficient in Microsoft Teams.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. Area of study: Education, Business, or other related field.

Compensation

  • The Worldwide Campus admissions office handles approximately 17,000 applications annually and more than 30,000 supporting documents annually for 110+ Worldwide and Online campus locations.

  • Position requires knowledge of and enthusiasm for the University's mission and niche in higher education; admissions counselor supports excellence in student service at every opportunity.
  • They will help update an applicant's To Do List, enter education/transcript data, and assign relevant communication.
