About the role

  • This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with US GAAP (including ASC 606), and contributing to scalable accounting processes.
  • The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of Canadian tax regulations.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, various account reconciliations, and financial statements

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate accounting
  • Support the Accounting Manager with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
  • Manage corporate income tax compliance in coordination with external advisors
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on international tax reporting and financial reporting to the parent company
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions, as applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation required
  • 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Process improvement mindset with the ability to scale accounting operations
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, with a strong understanding of deferred revenue
