About the role
- This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with US GAAP (including ASC 606), and contributing to scalable accounting processes.
- The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of Canadian tax regulations.
- Prepare and review journal entries, various account reconciliations, and financial statements
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate accounting
- Support the Accounting Manager with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
- Manage corporate income tax compliance in coordination with external advisors
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on international tax reporting and financial reporting to the parent company
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions, as applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation required
- 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
- Process improvement mindset with the ability to scale accounting operations
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, with a strong understanding of deferred revenue
