About the role
- By merging surgical robotics with catheter-based technology and next generation implants, we've pioneered a patient-optimized approach to repair and replace heart valves.
- Our innovative technology offers a significantly less invasive alternative to traditional open-heart surgery while ensuring precise and reliable placement of the heart valve implant.
- With these advancements, we may be able to provide patients with a solution to their heart valve disease while significantly reducing recovery time and minimizing the risk of complications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the electromechanical integration of robotic hardware. This includes planning, coordination, execution, and regular communication to stakeholders.
- Participating in hands on building and commissioning of robotic system prototypes, combining mechanical, electronic, and software principles, and conducting rigorous testing and simulations to evaluate performance.
- Provide escalation support to our Manufacturing and Case Support (field) teams.
- Document and communicate design learnings on manufacturability and reliability to the broader hardware team, creating scalable processes that enable others to replicate setup and integration without creating dependencies.
- C++ and Python programming skills, with the ability to run and configure test scripts to support debugging, and create clear bug reports when issues are found.
Requirements
- Experience with test and debug of electromechanical systems, and the ability to do basic PCBA design modifications.
Skills
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzer).
