About the role

  • Smardt est en pleine expansion et nous recherchons un Expéditeur de marchandises pour rejoindre notre équipe d'entrepôt.
  • Ce poste sera principalement basé sur nos sites de Dorval (près du boulevard des Sources) et de Saint-Laurent, avec un déménagement prévu à Kirkland dans les mois à venir!
  • La réussite dans ce poste se mesure à la disponibilité constante des matériaux en amont des besoins de production, ce qui permet une fabrication ininterrompue et soutient les engagements de livraison dans les délais.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update Excel-based tracking tools (shortage lists, expedite logs, order status trackers) that give Production, Planning, and Purchasing a clear, current picture of material status.
  • Support root-cause tracking on recurring shortages and feed findings back into purchasing and planning processes.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple open items and shifting priorities at once.

Requirements

  • Strong working proficiency in Excel (tracking tools, formulas, filtering/sorting large data sets)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems for order tracking and inventory visibility (Business Central experience an asset).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience in expediting, material planning, purchasing support, or a similar coordination role
  • manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.

  • This position requires a mid-level knowledge of French and English.
  • French is required to communicate with our team in Québec.
  • English may be required to communicate with our team located outside Québec, as well as to understand certain technical documentation available only in English.
