Responsibilities
- Performs mammography, stereo biopsies, and bone density examinations consistent with professional protocols.
- Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Develops, maintains, and analyzes performance improvement outcomes to improve departmental services consistent with Hospital and regulatory requirements.
- And everyone, in their own unique way, plays an important part, every day.
Requirements
- Performs and is responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control on all equipment as required by standards.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
Skills
- Minimum three (3) years as a Radiology Technologist
- Minimum one (1) year as a Mammography Technologist
- Demonstrated ability to provide a quality diagnostic exam in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to product optimum results.
- Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments.
- The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description.
- Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
- Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
- (Office jobs only) Work is considered sedentary.
- Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
Compensation
- Monitor's and continuously updates Technologist and Radiologist credentials and continuing education. Works closely with the Supervisor to maintain all records needed to continuously prepare and participate in annual MQSA inspections.
