About the role
- We're shipping LLM-generated clinical content, agentic assistants, and recommendation systems behind the tools pet parents actually use.
- This role is a split between data platform architecture and AI infrastructure.
- This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, but you will be expected to set the technical standard for the team and mentor the engineers and analysts already here.
Responsibilities
- The instinct to manage cloud spend, warehouse performance, and data quality without being asked
- We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
Requirements
- You have practical ML engineering experience
- Be the Human Your Dog Thinks You Are - Be kind, show care for your colleagues, and even if you're an expert - give others context, reinforce the positive, and help them understand.
Nice to have
- 6+ years operating production data platforms with hands-on ownership of dbt + cloud-warehouses (Snowflake strongly preferred)
