About the role
- The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable FORTIFIED Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team.
- In this role, you will ensure that structures certified under the FORTIFIED program meet the highest standards of resilience and quality.
- Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the durability and safety of homes and businesses against severe weather threats.
Responsibilities
- Identify and document any discrepancies, deficiencies, or areas of non-compliance, and communicate these effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with builders, contractors, and program administrators to provide guidance and support for meeting FORTIFIED standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, audits, and communications related to the quality assurance process.
- Stay current with updates to FORTIFIED standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction, building inspection, or quality assurance roles.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building codes, construction practices, and FORTIFIED program standards.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple inspections efficiently.
- Certification related to building inspection or quality assurance is a plus.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
