Responsibilities

  • Design, build, evaluate, and troubleshooting engineering prototypes to support new product development and technology advancement.
  • Perform complex engineering activities to optimize product designs, processes, and system performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to achieve project objectives in making early phase metallic prototypes.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for highly complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate technical issues and develop innovative, effective solutions.
  • Ability to build productive cross-functional relationships and influence technical decisions.
  • Ability to use CAD or SoildWorks to design tools for making metallic prototypes
  • Ability to design early phase tools/fixtures as an aid to help make the prototypes
  • Metal working ability to build a wide variety of parts

Requirements

  • Proficiency in engineering documentation, development tools, and quality system requirements.

  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision

Nice to have

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus 10 Years experience in prototype or new product development environment is required

Compensation

  • For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $86,000 to $118,000 (highly experienced).
