About the role
- Current vacancies exist at the Fresno Animal Center and the Department of Public Utilities.
- This classification exists throughout the City; therefore, the City may choose to utilize this recruitment to fill future vacancies.
- This is an unclassified position in which the incumbent serves at the will of the Department Director.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with MOUs; assist with grievances; and partner with Personnel Services and the Labor Division on departmental changes.
- Prepare and track evaluations; review supervisor/manager evaluations; support employee development; and partner with the Training Division to ensure department staff attends mandated training.
- Draft, review, and maintain department personnel policies for consistency and relevancy.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, or closely related field
- Copy of degree and/or transcripts must be uploaded to the application.
- Qualified candidates certified for consideration will be required to successfully pass a Department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint process prior to employment with the City of Fresno.
