About the role
- In this role, you will report to one of the Systems Engineering Managers.
- At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Responsibilities
- Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot new RF generator designs
- Test and troubleshoot new PCBAs to validate performance
- Build test setups for specialized experiments
- As an Engineering Technician 4 at MKS Instruments you will partner with Systems and Design Engineering to test and troubleshoot the next generation of RF Plasma generators.
Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Use of LTSpice or other circuit simulation tools
- PCBA soldering / rework
- Physical Demands and
- Requires an Associate degree or equivalent technician experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of related experience
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other electrical / RF instruments
- Experience using schematics to troubleshoot PCBA problems

Compensation
- $30.48 - 50.80/hr is range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
