About the role

  • Close grants: Carry out grant closing reconciliation and corrections.
  • Provide compliance assistance: - Assist in the University's communication and education of the applicable policies and regulations relating to State, Federal and private grants. - Assist in the maintenance of resources for compliance.
  • HOURS: The regular hours for this position are 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Claremont Graduate University seeks to maintain a neat and professional image at all times.
  • Assist in subsequent meetings to maintain communication throughout and at the conclusion of the grant.

Requirements

  • Assist Principal Investigator/Budget Officer complete required financial reporting.
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Nice to have

  • Assist in the maintenance of resources for compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Ability to communicate processes and procedures required of PI for grant administration and management.
  • Must possess a high level of accuracy and be detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • One to five years' experience in accounting and/or grants and sponsored programs plus analytical ability and PC fluency including extensive knowledge of Excel.

Compensation

  • $27.00- $31.00 HOURLY
  • Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others.
  • The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation
  • Prepare/coordinate with other offices for required annual, semi-annual, and quarterly reports for State, Federal and private Agencies.
  • Provide grant data for annual and ad hoc audits.
