About the role

  • POSITION TITLE: Temporary Grants Accountant
  • This is a temporary, one-year appointment with the potential for extension based on institutional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Claremont Graduate University seeks to maintain a neat and professional image at all times.
  • Assist in subsequent meetings to maintain communication throughout and at the conclusion of the grant.

Requirements

  • Assist Principal Investigator/Budget Officer complete required financial reporting.

Nice to have

  • One to five years' experience in accounting and/or grants and sponsored programs plus analytical ability and PC fluency including extensive knowledge of Excel.
  • Senior Grant Accountant
  • The regular hours for this position are 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Hours may vary due to needs of the University or department.
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.

Compensation

  • $27.00- $31.00 HOURLY
  • Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others.
  • The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation
  • Prepare/coordinate with other offices for required annual, semi-annual, and quarterly reports for State, Federal and private Agencies.
  • Provide grant data for annual and ad hoc audits.
