About the role

The Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery, electrical/mechanical equipment, and production systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Duties/Responsibilities: Inspect automated machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure functionality.
Ability to prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities.

Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
Adhere to GMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards and policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and humidity levels.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend over, and pick up items and have constant movement for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to lift, push, kneel, and pick up items, both small and large.
Strong knowledge of automation systems, including process control, instrumentation, and servo-driven systems with ladder logic.
Proficiency in calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
Ability to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks effectively around production activities.
Required Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of automation systems, including process control, instrumentation, and servo-driven systems with ladder logic.

Vocational/Trade training or an associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in automation and mechanical systems required.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs and automation troubleshooting preferred.

Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in automation and mechanical systems.
