Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations using industry-standard software and methodologies
  • Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in compliance with applicable building codes and standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure project coordination and successful execution
  • Review and evaluate construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals for structural compliance
  • Optimize structural designs for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and constructability
  • Keep pace with evolving building codes, industry standards, and best practices, and bring that knowledge into your daily work
  • At least three years of relevant full-time experience in structural engineering design
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices
  • You'll have the freedom to develop innovative solutions while working alongside professionals who are passionate about their craft and their community.

Requirements

  • EIT certification required
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000)

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Master's degree preferred

Compensation

  • The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $75,000 - $100,000, determined by experience, education, and skills.
  • KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions.
