About the role
- The GEF unites 186 countries in partnership with international institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs), and the private sector to address global environmental issues while supporting national sustainable development initiatives.
- In the years since its establishment, the GEF has funded over 4,500 projects in 170 countries, and many thousands more through the GEF Small Grants Program, providing $20.5 billion in grants that leveraged $112 billion in co-financing.
Responsibilities
- The GEF Secretariat is seeking to recruit a highly motivated postgraduate for a 6-months internship to support implementation of the Strategy.
Skills
- GEF is also a designated financial mechanism of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
- The GEF Council recently approved a new strategy for Knowledge Management and
- Coordinate training sessions for GEFSEC on the use Microsoft Teams Channels, SharePoint Files and other collaboration tools.
- Monitor the use of Collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint and produce periodic reports to identify usage gaps.
- Participate in the migration of legacy SharePoint Files to the new WBG platform.
- Other ad-hoc activities derived from the KM L program in the GEF, including those related to Information Technology.
