About the role

  • The Systems Fabrication Manager is responsible for leading Electrosonic's fabrication operations, overseeing the assembly, testing, quality assurance, and delivery of integrated audiovisual systems.
  • This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise, team development, quality management, and operational oversight.
  • The Systems Fabrication Manager will provide leadership and direction for fabrication teams in both Orlando, FL and Burbank, CA, ensuring consistency in fabrication standards, processes, quality, and technician development across both locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop fabrication technicians and support personnel across Electrosonic's fabrication operations.
  • Establish performance expectations and support employee growth through training, mentoring, and development initiatives.
  • Manage daily fabrication activities, priorities, schedules, and resource allocation to support project delivery requirements.
  • Support project installations and field activities as needed to ensure successful deployment and knowledge transfer between fabrication and field teams.
  • Establish, document, maintain, and continuously improve fabrication standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions to improve consistency and reduce rework.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and fabrication workflows.
  • Support departmental planning and operational scalability as the organization grows.
  • Strong experience building, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting commercial AV equipment racks and integrated systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in AV integration, fabrication, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret rack elevations, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of commercial audiovisual technologies and integration best practices.
  • Proficiency with fabrication tools, test equipment, and assembly processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business applications.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and actively participate in fabrication activities when required to meet business demands.

Nice to have

  • CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, inventory management, or project management systems.
  • Experience working within a commercial AV systems integration environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, and material handling best practices.
  • Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • This position is based full-time in Electrosonic's Orlando fabrication facility and requires regular presence within a warehouse, staging, and fabrication environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
