About the role

As a Live in Treament Worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of children and youth with complex needs.
This is a full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week)
Your role includes contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the overall Live-In Treatment program.

You'll work directly with clients and families to implement therapeutic plans, provide individual and group support, and advocate on their behalf through collaboration with caregivers and community partners.
You will support client-driven treatment by helping youth reach therapeutic milestones through planned experiences, recreational programming, and the use of daily life events to promote positive change.
You may also support the Day Treatment Program and provide in-home support to families as needed.

Maintain and keep current all agency and program specific trainings as required.
A valid TB skin test is required for this position.
Ownership of a reliable vehicle with a valid G driver's license and acceptable current abstract with a minimum of two million dollar liability insurance- may be required to transport clients occasionally.
Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish relationships with clients and caregivers that demonstrate self-awareness, appropriate professional boundaries, and a therapeutic impact.
Positions are located in the Halton Region and travel between sites may be required.

Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.

A minimum of a college diploma in Social Services or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in children's mental health is an asset
Experience working with children with Autism and/or dual diagnoses is an asset
Sound decision making and problem-solving skills.
