About the role

  • You'll take on well-scoped features and pieces of larger initiatives, write clean and testable Swift, and lean into the mentorship the team offers.
  • The ideal candidate cares about craft, moves fast without cutting corners, and is curious about how the app actually behaves in an athlete's hand.
  • You'll work a "4/1 hybrid" schedule - Mondays - Thursdays are in the office and it's optional if you'd like to work Fridays from the Nike campus office or your home office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional iOS development experience shipping consumer-facing apps
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI (and comfort with UIKit where it still lives)
  • working knowledge of modern concurrency (async/await, Combine)
  • Comfort consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and handling offline, low-bandwidth, and error states gracefully
  • Experience writing unit and UI tests (XCTest, snapshot testing, XCUITest)
  • Familiarity with Xcode, Fastlane, CI/CD, and the App Store release process
  • Experience with Spec Driven Development leveraging LLM coding agents and autonomous build and review loops
  • Familiarity with the iOS frameworks activity apps rely on
  • will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Composable/TCA) and how features are structured in a modularized codebase (SPM, frameworks)
  • Familiarity with the iOS frameworks activity apps rely on - Core Location, Core Motion, background modes, AVFoundation / audio, push - and willingness to go deep in the areas you own
  • Strong debugging habits and an interest in growing them - Instruments profiling, memory analysis, crash triage
