About the role
- The Security Guard executes internal facility safety and security functions.
- The primary focus of this role is to ensure a secure facility for guests, staff, volunteers, and our animal collection.
- This role ensures the standards of security and safety per OSHA regulations as well as the Association of Zoos and Aquariums are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility safety and security requirements procedures for safeguarding the facility, staff, volunteers and animal collection in accordance with Post Orders
Requirements
- High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years of security experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security operations, safety practices and incident investigation in a public institution.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification required
- CT Guard Card Required
