Responsibilities
- Trial Tracking & Investigator Support
- Maintain rigorous tracking systems for milestones, data collection timelines, and budget disbursements for all ongoing IITs.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with Engineering and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to organize, maintain, and audit internal Verification and Validation (V&V) documentation.
- Manage, mentor, and delegate tasks to a Clinical Coordinator, ensuring efficient daily operational workflows.
- In this role, you will not lead primary protocol design.
- You will keep track of Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), manage rigorous verification and validation (V&V) paperwork, and draft Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
- You will also manage one direct report (Clinical Coordinator) to ensure clinical projects hit timelines and meet regulatory standards.

- Location
- Butterfly offers a hybrid work model for most positions, with team members spending two or more days a week in the office. While flexibility is key, we value in-person connections that spark creativity and teamwork. Our offices are designed for collaboration, with comfortable workspaces, stocked kitchens, and opportunities to connect with peers. This is a hybrid position that can be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, NY.

Skills

- Knowledge: Deep familiarity with medical device documentation, internal V&V processes, GCP, and FDA regulations.

Compensation
- Our estimated salary for this role in NYC is $200,000, and for SF is $215,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
- Lead the drafting, formatting, and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, amendments, and annual renewals.
