About the role

This is a senior academic leadership opportunity for an experienced physician-educator who is passionate about shaping the next generation of osteopathic physicians.
This is a 0.8 FTE academic appointment with Xavier University.

DO or MD degree.
Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience in Pediatrics.
Experience mentoring faculty.
Experience with accreditation processes.
Current AOA or ABMS board certification in Pediatrics.
Eligibility for unrestricted Ohio medical licensure.
Eligibility for clinical privileges at a partner health system.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education.
Experience developing assessment items for NBOME or NBME.
Budget management experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Pediatrics curricular content across preclinical and clinical years.
Serve as Clinical Clerkship Director for third-year Pediatrics rotations.

This senior academic leadership role provides the opportunity to shape the Pediatrics division within a mission-driven osteopathic medical school at a Jesuit Catholic university.
The successful candidate is expected to maintain clinical privileges and provide patient care approximately one day per week within a partner health system.
