About the role
- The staff nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience.
- Responsible for providing patient care with an understanding and awareness of age specific needs.
- Addresses the biological, emotional, development, psychosocial and patient/family education needs in providing care to the patient family.

Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
- Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required.
Nice to have
- Two years' experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Ambulatory care experience desirable.
- Licensure: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required.
- BLS required, ACLS preferred.
Skills
- BLS certification required
- Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.
- Participate in Performance improvement activities.
- Utilize the nursing process to oversee and provide age specific patient care.
- Communicate in an acceptable and easily understood manner.
- Develops, implements, and updates plans of care.
- Educates and adhere to patient bill of rights.
