About the role

  • The Talent Acquisition department hires qualified candidates to fill positions which contribute to the overall strategic success of Howard University.
  • This cluster hiring aims to recruit scholars with expertise in the interdisciplinary fields of biomedical imaging, artificial intelligence, and data science.
  • SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: The candidate will supervise postdocs, students, research assistants or lab interns conducting projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in imaging methods and experimental design from small animal imaging to translational-clinical imaging studies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in biomedical imaging and AI applications.
  • A strong track record of research productivity and independent funding, or the potential to secure external grants.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating systems such as Bruker MRI and microPET/CT systems (preferred).
  • Effective communication and organizational skills; strong written and oral proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Teaching or mentoring experience at the undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral level is preferred.

Compensation

  • Range: $135,000 -$150,000
  • Competitive salary, 403(b) with company match
