Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and procure technical goods, components, and services in accordance with specifications, cost targets, and lead times.
- Identify and develop relationships with qualified vendors and manufacturers.
- Manage the purchase order (PO) lifecycle from creation to delivery, including tracking, expediting, and resolving any supply chain issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including cost data, supplier performance, and compliance documentation.
- Tessera is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Buyer to support procurement operations at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor.
- The Technical Buyer will manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that comply with specifications, budget, and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
- Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain/engineering or closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Technical Buying
- Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.
- Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Compensation
- Compensation: $33.91 - $33.91 /h ou r
