About the role

  • Position is projected to start in Mid-July*
  • FTE: 0.6, 24 hours/week or, 0.8, 32 hour/week
  • Expected to float to other Behavioral Health nursing units as needed at the direction of leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provides trauma-informed care, utilizes positive reinforcement and operates within a therapeutic relationship, maintains staff and patient safety through de-escalation, limit setting, and physical interventions

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform therapeutic crisis intervention moves (TCI).
  • 3:00pm- 11:30pm - every other Saturday & Sunday required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • Master's Degree, preferred.
  • Rate: Starts at $21.71/hour with potential for higher pay based on relevant exp., plus $1.80 shift differential for evenings and $1.80 for weekends.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Three years of relevant experience, or equivalent education, required.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Able to wear and function in helmets and other safety equipment.
  • Rapid physical response when needed.
  • Applies the principles of body mechanics in lifting or moving patients and/or equipment.
  • Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.

Compensation

  • $11k-$20k
