About the role

This is a hybrid position based in our global headquarters in Reston, VA, and will report to the Senior Director, Accounting Policy.
Review accounting policies and procedures for ongoing pertinence.
Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly Forms 10-Q and 8-K earnings release, and annual Form 10-K and Proxy statement.

Analyze unique transactions and prepare technical accounting memos to document accounting positions to ensure proper accounting and disclosure conclusions.
Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting standards and lead implementations as applicable.
Take the lead on specific topics including: purchase accounting, software development, lease accounting, impairment assessments of goodwill and long lived assets, accounting of joint ventures, and segment reporting.
Provide support on various special projects as assigned by management.

What You Will Bring With You 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or other technical accounting roles, including experience with the following areas of U.S. GAAP: ASC 606, 805, 842, and 718.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related discipline.
CPA Certification What We'd Like You To Bring With You Experience with Hyperion (HFM), Costpoint, and Cognos.
