About the role
- The ideal candidate is physically able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 pounds and has strong mechanical aptitude.
- The Senior Shop Technician position is a full-time position in our Carp location.
- Production hours are from 6:30am - 2:45pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic electrical rough-ins.
- Support Production Manager in effectively training/mentoring staff ensuring that quality requirements are communicated, completed and assessed per WI and F.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- good manual dexterity and ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
Skills
- 15 years of experience in shop environment (asset).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, electrical work, and/or plumbing.
- Ability to interpret diagrams and technical documentation such as schematics, standards, and codes.
- Interest in learning about water and wastewater treatment system fabrication and equipment deployment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; good manual dexterity and ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent safety record.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain government security clearance.
