About the role

  • Provides medical services to patients in an ambulatory or a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Performs procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, or simple lesion (wart) removal, based on knowledge, skills and abilities, as applicable to clinical area.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Nebraska required.
  • CPR certification required.

Nice to have

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a primary care/ambulatory care/urgent care preferred
  • for the Same Day Pediatrics Clinic, minimum of three years of APRN experience in an ambulatory and/or urgent care preferred.

  • Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks.
  • Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
  • Requires up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
  • Ability to identify and address the age specific needs of the patients served.
  • Provides patient care and education according to the patient population served.
