About the role

  • We're seeking seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
  • This is a high-impact role with primary responsibility for managing the company's general ledger and the financial system.
  • You will be a driving force behind the monthly and quarterly close processes, with a specific focus on maintaining rigorous controls over cash reconciliations and asset schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Monthly Close: Ensure all financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform quarterly and yearly Balance Sheet (BS) and Profit & Loss (PL) flux analyses to explain variances and trends.
  • Prepaid Expenses: Record and manage the full lifecycle of prepaid expenses. Maintain detailed amortization schedules and post monthly adjusting journal entries to the GL.
  • Lead the Monthly Close:

Requirements

  • Software: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) are required.

  • Public accounting experience, CPA certification, and some cost accounting or international consolidation experience.

Skills

  • Proficient in US GAAP and SEC standards.
  • Hands-on experience with General Ledger management and audit work paper preparation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) are required.
  • Experience with Netsuite or similar mid-market ERPs is highly desirable.
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
