About the role

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an attorney for its Legal Transactions Group.
Directly advise management and internal clients on legal risks presented during engineering, procurement, construction, and other phases of the project lifecycle.

This position involves duties relating to drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to support advanced semiconductor fabrication facilities across multiple sites, with a focus on vendor/supplier and procurement contracts.
In your position as Legal Counsel, you'll work alongside a talented team of attorneys and paralegals to support the transactional work at Samsung Austin Semiconductor.
Manage routine legal processes, such as task tracking, reporting, and working with paralegal staff.

Must have JD degree with at least 5 years of relevant legal experience.
Must be licensed to practice law in Texas, or eligible for in-house practice in Texas.
Must be detail oriented, have good judgment and be able to manage multiple complex and competing priorities without significant supervision.
Experience with real estate, land use, zoning, environmental, and related compliance matters.
Experience drafting, filing, and responding to lien and bond claim notices.
Experience with contractor claims and disputes.
Experience with public funding in construction projects.
Experience with local and federal tax incentives.
Applicants must be authorized to access such information or eligible for government authorization.

Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or engineering, procurement, and construction management is a plus.
Experience working as both an in-house attorney and at a major law firm is a plus.

Continuously improve legal operations, including work processes, forms, software systems, policies, and guidebooks.
Establish cross-functional relationships to solve problems that impact many company stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.

The current base salary range for this role is between $143,000 - $207,000.
Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
