About the role
- Avionics engineering is responsible for ensuring that flight avionics on the logos bus and payload are fully validated ensuring the success of our network via analysis and test.
- We are seeking engineers who love to solve hard problems.
Responsibilities
- Own test hardware delivery timeline through entire lifecycle (design, development, and production build)
- Generate and release technical drawings,test procedures, and reports in support of the hardware design and validation.
- The engineering team at Logos Space work on the design, development, flight validation, assembly, integration, test, and inflight success of the logos fleet of spacecraft.
- Avionics engineers will support hardware design activities from the idea stage to flight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with relevant electrical design and analysis work experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience in electronics testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Experience with custom automated test equipment (ATEs)
- Experience with large test equipment (vibration tables, thermal vacuum chambers, HALT chambers)
- Experience with harness assembly and PCB rework/assembly
- Knowledge of automation/scripting software such as Python and MATLAB
- Strong understanding of parts derating and failure mode evaluation
- The development of suitable facilities and the required ground support equipment also falls within the purview of the engineering team.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with relevant electrical design and analysis work experience
- Familiarity with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice
- Experience with analog control loop design and schematic review
- Familiarity with parts derating standards such EEE-INST-002 and ECSS-Q-ST-30-11C
- Experience with parts stress analysis
- Ability and willingness to attain a Top Secret Clearance
