About the role

Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate or graduate program
We're currently looking for someone to join our team as Intern, PICTON Investment Counsel, who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute from day one.
This role is well suited for someone who is curious, adaptable, and comfortable taking on new challenges while working both independently and alongside an experienced investment counselling team.

Work closely with Associates and Investment Counsellors to support a range of administrative activities, gaining broad exposure to how a wealth management platform runs day to day.
Assist in the preparation of client meeting materials, portfolio reports, and ad-hoc analyses that support Investment Counsellors in delivering a best-in-class client experience.
Support portfolio administration activities such as reconciling daily prices, positions, and transactions across trading and custodial systems, and help ensure timely and accurate record-keeping.
Assist in maintaining accurate and auditable records in support of compliance documentation and regulatory requirements.

Working knowledge of AI tools and their practical applications (e.g. prompt engineering, API integration, automation workflows)

Preferred fields: Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a combined/double major
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas - macros/VBA is a strong plus)

Strong written and oral communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.

The expected hourly base salary range for this role is $ 25.00 to $ 35.00, with final hourly salary determined based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
