Responsibilities
- Design instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate and support the field installation of instrumentation equipment.
- Perform ongoing evaluation of monitoring data and the status of instrumentation systems.
- Manage project staff and coordinate field activities related to the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of instrumentation systems.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while meeting project objectives and client expectations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of consulting experience working directly with clients, including 4+ years of experience in structural and geotechnical instrumentation.
- Proven experience preparing bids for general contractors and technical proposals.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
- With over 40 years of experience, Geocomp is well-positioned to help clients on a wide range of projects, providing geostructural consulting, monitoring, and laboratory testing services worldwide.
- Required
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a major in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of the installation and monitoring of prisms, AMTS units, seismographs, inclinometers, tilt meters, data loggers, observation wells, boring inspections, strain gauges, extensometers, borehole instrumentation, and web-based data management systems.
- Strong time and people management skills.
- Excellent client relationship skills with a strong commitment to client service.
- Willingness to travel and spend time on project sites during critical project stages.
- Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New York.
