About the role

  • Job Description: Site Manager Huntsman is seeking a Site Manager supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Los Angeles, California.
  • This position will report to the Vice President of Operations.
  • Job Scope The Site Manager is accountable for all aspects of site performance, including safety, environmental compliance, production, quality, maintenance, engineering, financial performance, and people leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering.
  • Drive operational decisions using performance metrics to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Manage capital investment planning and execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Site Leadership Team while fostering accountability, collaboration, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with HR and functional leaders to support talent development and workforce planning.
  • Lead transformational initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in chemical or comparable process manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing operating budgets, capital projects, and cross-functional teams.
  • You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

  • Demonstrated experience leading safety, quality, operational excellence, financial performance, and people development.

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience leading a specialty chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of California manufacturing, environmental, and safety regulations.

Compensation

  • $175,000-$220,000 annually.
  • The compensation range reflects the Company's reasonable expectation at the time of posting, considering education, experience, and training.
