Requirements

  • Must have solid understanding of basic math.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and tape measures.
  • Must be able to follow routine instructions and then make sound judgments to perform the role safely.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
  • Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
  • Required Qualifications Must have solid understanding of basic math.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Previous experience with welding or cutting.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

  • Scope of Position This reliable, self-starting individual, as part of the Mueller team, is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal screens.
  • This position reports to the Mueller Value Stream Leader.
  • This role is onsite and is based in St.
  • Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Lays out and marks reference points onto screen material (perforated and/or mesh material).
  • Fits and assembles components by operating machines such as arbor presses, riveting press, brazing machine, and resistance welding machines to complete assembly.
  • Spot welds components together.
  • Participate in problem solving, training and Kaizen activities.
