Responsibilities
- Provides support for high priority web services including the University web portal and mobile application, as well as other custom and third-party software solutions (includes scheduling and performing application installations, maintenance, monitoring, patches, performance tuning, upgrades, account management, and theme and custom feature development).
- Performs application troubleshooting including initial assessment, review of log anomalies and root cause analysis.
- Develops and supports in-house JAVA applications including design and development of user-centric interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Develops and supports Single-Sign-On solutions including Ethos Identity Services, Shibboleth and JAVA encryption based SSO applications.
- Develop software solutions to support application integration including integration between the University portal and mobile applications with University CMS, University ERP and custom web applications.
- Configures vendor-provided APIs or develops custom APIs to enable system integrations using technologies such as single sign-on (SSO), LDAP authentication, and identity management solutions.
- Builds features and applications with a mobile responsive design and ensure compatibility across current browsers and platforms.
- Creates and manages service requests with vendors and take necessary maintenance and troubleshooting actions.
- Maintains relationships with counterparts at other institutions while remaining active on message boards and mailing lists related to tasks performed.
- Upon successful completion of the on-campus onboarding and training period, employees may choose either a remote or on-campus work arrangement that best supports their work style.
Compensation
- Individuals in this role should anticipate being on campus a minimum of two times per year, as well as periodically to support operational and business needs.
