About the role
- Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to work in the National Capital Region covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfax.
- Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
- The WDP separates business and financial data from operational warfighting data, aiming to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield.
Requirements
- Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline principles as applied in federal or classified cloud environments, including basic familiarity with GitLab or similar source control and pipeline platforms.
- Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail, with a working understanding of core cloud infrastructure concepts such as compute, storage, and networking.
- Experience in cloud operations, IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a related technical discipline, including relevant academic, internship, or lab-based experience.
- This is an entry-level role offering hands-on experience with enterprise AWS cloud services in direct support of DoW mission analytics, operational reporting, and enterprise readiness.
- Performs cloud operations support activities by configuring and maintaining foundational Amazon Web Services resources required to sustain mission operations across the War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration system.
- Assists development personnel by preparing automation scripts, updating infrastructure-as-code templates, and applying configuration parameters required for application deployments.
Visa & Work Authorization
- Required Skills Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
