Responsibilities
- Use existing tools to develop, implement, and improve methods for detecting, reporting, and analyzing performance issues.
- Lead the implementation of monitoring software to capture project data and perform detailed analysis for solar and BESS KPIs and monthly reporting.
- Keep abreast of the latest PVsyst and performance modelling developments, develop new methods/tools as appropriate, and train team members on any new procedures.
- Develop strategies to optimize performance of renewable assets and identify areas of underperformance, drive improvements and corrective actions.
- Support Project Development team with inverter, battery, transformer and tracker/racking. technologies in support of equipment selection and procurement and build a team to support the reliability analysis of various components.
- Continuously evaluate software systems, processes, procedures and drive improvement within the performance and operational engineering teams.
- Review technical documents and acceptance test during the project handover process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Solar/STEM Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in a Solar and BESS Performance Engineering.
- Experience with Solar Modelling tools like PVsyst and PlantPredict.
- Experience with deployment of AI to improve workflows.
Nice to have
- Prior professional experience working in renewable energy space.
- A strong desire to work in the solar energy industry.
- Experience with DAS/SCADA.
- Extended Experience with data analytics, databases and visualization tools (eg Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Databricks, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarize complex technical issues, both in writing and verbally.
