About the role
- The Admin Access and Insights team is dedicated to advancing Autodesk's managing-access capabilities.
- We focus on improving experiences for the administration experiences through scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions.
- You will report to a Software Development Manager based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality full-stack applications and services
- Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop scalable and secure backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, designers, architects, and engineers to refine requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions
- Develop reusable frontend components and maintainable backend services that can be extended by other teams
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations between frontend applications, backend services, databases, and third-party systems
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, automation, and regression tests across the application stack
- Write and present technical designs, architectural proposals, and implementation plans
- Document new features, services, APIs, and changes to existing systems
- Mentor less-experienced software engineers and provide technical guidance on development practices, architecture, and product design
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on Java programming experience and experience with Spring Boot
- Experience using relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB
- Working knowledge of AWS technologies such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and related cloud services
- Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience using Git and modern collaborative software development workflows
- Experience applying secure software development practices
