About the role
- The Pharmacist-in-Charge will be responsible for obtaining all required pharmacy licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals necessary to establish and operate a veterinary pharmacy serving customers across the United States.
- This individual will partner closely with Operations, Legal, Clinical, Technology, and Supply Chain teams to design scalable pharmacy operations that meet all state and federal regulations.
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building new businesses, developing compliant processes, and creating operational excellence in a fast-growing healthcare startup.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end launch of the pharmacy from planning through go-live.
- Obtain and maintain:
- Develop licensing strategy for nationwide pharmacy expansion.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacist experience.
- Minimum 2 years as Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Experience with pharmacy management systems.
- Nonresident pharmacy licenses across all required states
- Required
- Active Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Eligible to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in Ohio.
- Experience opening or launching a pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, or healthcare operation.
- Ohio Board of Pharmacy regulations
- DEA regulations
- Nonresident pharmacy licensing
- State pharmacy compliance
- Controlled substance regulations
- Strong project management skills.
Compensation
- $150k-$200k
