About the role
- To ensure efficient operation of our central plant and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain central plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and related systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on central plant equipment.
- Perform necessary repairs or coordinate and collaborate with other facilities technicians on complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs, as well as detailed logs of central plant operations and maintenance activities.
- Implement energy-saving measures and strategies to reduce operational costs.
Requirements

- High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience with operating and maintaining boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, utility systems, or industrial mechanical equipment.
- Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:
- Valid Driver's License required.

- Vocational or technical training in stationary engineering.

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of central plant equipment, including boilers, chillers and HVAC systems
- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, including on-call and rotating shift schedules
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
