About the role

  • The Commissioning Lead is responsible for leading the technical execution of commissioning activities for mission-critical data center projects across the United States.
  • This role serves as the field and systems subject matter expert, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and controls systems are installed, tested, integrated, and validated according to design intent, operational requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning Execution & Technical Leadership Lead day-to-day commissioning activities for mission-critical data center projects.
  • Support development and execution of commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, and testing protocols.
  • Ensure all systems are commissioned in accordance with project requirements, design specifications, and operational objectives.
  • System Testing & Validation Lead commissioning efforts for mechanical, electrical, controls, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Validate system functionality, reliability, and performance under normal and failure-mode operating conditions.
  • Quality & Compliance Maintain compliance with commissioning standards, quality requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with QA/QC teams to track and resolve commissioning issues and deficiency items.
  • Support operational readiness and turnover activities with facility operations teams.

  • The Commissioning Lead works closely with construction, engineering, QA/QC, operations, contractors, and third-party Commissioning Authorities (CxAs) to support successful project delivery and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and critical facility infrastructure systems.
  • Experience with functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and system troubleshooting.
